"All art is autobiographical; the pearl is the oyster's autobiography." --Federico Fellini
Each of my stories carries my life in it, although I didn't realize it at the time of the writing. When I was in a trapped situation, I wrote a dark, eerie retelling of Rapunzel, captive in her tower. When I was feeling motherly and protective, I wrote about a foundling.
In what way is your story, a story of your life, even if it doesn't appear to be? What can you learn from it? It is a gift to be taught by your own pen.
