For happiness, how little suffices for happiness! . . . the least thing precisely, the gentlest thing, the lightest thing, a lizard's rustling, a breath, a wisk, an eye glance--little maketh up the best happiness. Be still."--Nietzsche
I'll say it once again: happy inspiration comes from the way a person looks at life. The inspired life welcomes and embraces the ordinary. We don't need to live in the exotic to have something of interest to write about. Forget the need for edge-of-seat reports, trips to faraway places, glamorous associates.
As Eckhart Tolle writes: "Most people, in their restless search for something significant to happen to them, continuously miss the insignificant, which may not be insignificant at all."
What's the "least thing" you see near you today? Write about it. Find the drops of happiness in that experience.
Thank you for the insight!
