“Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.”
– C.S. Lewis
When you've reached this age, you'll know. You will hear the rustlings of the wood elves and watch the sky for traces of dragon-smoke. Once again you'll accept those things that only the very young pay attention to.
Just today, I've noticed:
- my cat chasing imaginary somethings
- a squirrel rolling madly in the yard
- children playing "Red Rover" in a park
- a fountain that seems to never emptyPretty sound evidence of faerie, if you ask me.
What have you glimpsed of the fairy world today?
(Oops. I forgot. You may not be old enough yet.)
