Fog vs Clarity

“It is not the clear-sighted who rule the world. Great achievements are accomplished in a blessed, warm fog.”
--Joseph Conrad

Where there's fog, there's mystery, and this can be wonderful. Uncertainty is an important, oft-overlooked part of our lives. Poets, artists, creators--we all learn to relish fog now and then.

At times, though, you need to see clearly where you'd like to go, in order to get there. Exactly what it is you want from life? What do you hope to get out of the creative process?

The Kindling Blog, for instance, is a mix of inspiration, play, prompts and writing advice. I rarely go into the day knowing what my post will be. I like that. Each day brings a surprise from the fog. Yet I want to make a greater impact by homing in on you, my readers, getting a clearer picture of who you are and what you're doing, and what you need. Please take a moment and click your answers to the poll on your right!

Write about fog, literally or figuratively.
