Apostles and Spoonerisms

My new portmanteau combines the words apostle and possible. An apostle is a pioneer of a movement, especially a spiritual one. When you venture to a new frontier, then you have reached for the apostleble. I have a sense of the apostleble in posting to my new blog, A Fire By Night, in which I write about my faith.

This particular word came to me as I was listening to a writer read out loud, covering words very quickly. One little trip of the tongue and voila, a word was invented. This reminds me of another form of wordplay: the spoonerism.

Although the most delightful spoonerisms are accidents, you can invent them too. It ain't socket ryence.

Spoon a spoonerism.
