Poets Without Borders

Listening to Dana Gioia, poet and former chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, I get excited about the power of our work to create enriching conversations all across the globe.

I especially like how he emphasizes the marketplace isn't for everything, and how it shouldn't dictate a monetary value for every single thing in our lives - ideas found in Lewis Hyde's brilliant book, The Gift.

How would you like your work to reach someone around the world? First dream about it. Then write about it. (Hint: it won't happen unless you dream it first.)
