It's good to see your words in new contexts. Using an app in Facebook, you get a concatenation* of your status updates throughout the year. You can do a similar thing with a novel or book you're working on. What you'll get is a bird's eye view - and it's a funny bird indeed. In Word, go to "Tools" on your menu, then "Autosummarize." For a real laugh, select "1 percent." You'll get one percent of your words strung together: mostly nonsense. But it can be a lot of fun, and a little enlightening.
*I love that word.
