We mark days and years with our calendars, naming the movement of the planet. And yet our lives begin with awareness and continue in a seamless way, unbroken by calendar pages except in our imagination.
We can always start over. (And we can always let go of having to start over.)
The most important way to be new is to be open. In our thoughts. In our doings. To be receptive to what comes. To allow ourselves to be unwritten.
"Only the unwritten can truly live a life." --David James Duncan
This means letting go of what we thought, wrote, or created yesterday, and taking life as it is right now.
Dear Christi. I so need to have these words in my head this morning. "letting go of what we thought, wrote, or created yesterday, and taking life as it is right now." Life as it is right now happens to be a few steps below where I usually start out. But I know how to climb. It's done one step at a time. Thanks for reminding me of that. Blessings. AliceReplyDelete
Alice, brave creator, so sorry to respond late to your wonderful comment. (Notifications aren't working.)Thank you.ReplyDelete
I am thinking of you as you calm yourself for the climb. As you acknowledge being a beginner in some way in this time of your life. I believe in you. You got this.
